NFL Player Don Carey Hosts Holiday Event For Children
NORFOLK
NFL Player Don Carey’s Reech Foundation partnering with Charles Black of 95.7 R&B hosted a Clothes and Toy Drive on Dec. 15. Donations were distributed at MP Island Cafe, 6109 East Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk to children living in Norfolk and Chesapeake.
REECH had more than 10 drop off locations that collected the donations.
The REECH Foundation was founded by Don and Lakeisha Carey to impact inner city youth by expanding their horizons to new opportunities they may not have known existed. The couple believes by providing students the opportunity of academic achievement and exposure to diverse arenas, they can ultimately be inspired to reach their maximum potential and become significant contributors to society.
REECH’s main areas of focus are STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math), physical wellbeing, health, social and moral responsibility along with vocational and collegiate preparation.
