Rebecca’s Well: About This Time Next Year

Bishop Dale C. Bronner (Daystar Channel 131 Sundays, 7:30 p.m.) stated on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, “establish your Godly Goals for this year. Use the phrase-” “About This Time Next Year” (II Kings 4:16). This is the story of Elisha and the Shunammite Woman, whom after she had prepared a chamber for him (v. 10) whenever Elisha passed by: He desired to repay her kindness by prophesying a child to her. (v. 16) “About This Season, according to the time of life; thou shalt embrace a son.” (KJV)
“About This Time Next Year, You will hold a …” (NIV, NLT ) Down through the centuries people have used this phrase –” About This Time Next Year” to set goals for a New Year’s Resolution: Godly Goals that embrace betterment of self, family, community, and the whole world for Jesus Christ.
“About This Time Next Year” (2019) – What do you want to be doing? Going somewhere? Staying Put? Doing Nothing? Chilling? Dying? Holding On? Living The Good Life? Living For Jesus Alone? Some Of The Above. None Of The Above. What Then?
The Bible states: “Arise, Shine; for thy LIGHT has come, and the glory of the Lord, is risen upon thee. “ (Isaiah 60:1)
As for me , Rebecca, I plan to be Healthy, Wealthy,Sane, and Wise, becoming more involved in local, the greater community and global service to mankind, thereby helping to move the civilization along in the name of Jesus.
AMEN (Oh, YES!)
