Rebecca’s Well: Newness

By Dr. Rebecca R. Rivka

“Therefore if any man or woman be in Christ she is a new creature: old things are passed away; and behold, all things are become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17) It’s time for soul-searching. Step aside from mortal concerns. Forget the past. .”.. press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14). “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that you put  on the new man (woman), which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” (Ephesians 4:23,24) “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

Place your hand in God’s hand. .”.. be reconciled to God.” (II Cor. 5:20) God has all answers to all your problems. Every day the Lord sends gives us a new lease on life, new experiences, new joys, new blessings, new victories. We are treading unfamiliar territory. Traveling from resting place to resting place. God puts forth His sheep, but He goes ahead before us. In the midst of life, we live in dying and living on the way back home to glory. However, for the children of the Heavenly King, our God is the certainty amid the uncertainties. He is the constant amid the changes. Where’s Heaven? Our foreparents said, .”.. any where that Jesus is.”

Everyday is a day of Thanksgiving. Everyday of our lives dawns as a brand new morning when we dial up Jesus, “the radiant and brilliant Morning Star.” (Revelation 22:16) We are to live nobler lives for the Master. We must lay our all on the altar of sacrifice for the Lord Jesus – living completely obediently, devoted and sold out to Him. Let everything point to Jesus. We have another chance to write a new record in history.

Destroy all detaining circumstances. “Who is it that tells us what we cannot do? I hope it writes a new history and makes its track to the water’s edge.” (author unknown)

 Amen (Oh, Yes!)
