NORFOLK
Norfolk State University is holding a series of forums July 16-17 to allow the various stackholding communities to give their input into the search for the next NSU President.
Dr. Deborah M. Dicroce and Larry A. Griffith, who are co-chairs of the presidential search committee, along with other members of the NSU Board of Visitors will host the meetings in the Nursing and General Education Building (Suite
101).
On July 16, at 2 p.m., the Donor Community is invited to give their input; at 6 p.m., the General Community will be heard; and then at 8 p.m., another gathering for Donors is slated. On July 17, at 10 a.m., School Alumni will be allowed to share their views on the skills sets they would like the next NSU President to possess.
While these meetings are designed for these specified communities, all persons are welcome to attend and offer input. It is not anticipated that any official action or transaction of public business will take place.
Additional sessions will be held in August and September. The Search Committee is conducting a national search for the school’s next president, using a national firm to collect and vet applicants. Committee leaders say they hope to have identified the school’s next president by spring 2019.
