Kappas’ New Year’s Scenes

The Kappas hosted their 2nd annual New Year’s Eve Gala at the Sheraton Waterside in Norfolk on December 31, 2015. The VIP Black Tie event debuted in 2014 as a scholarship fundraiser for students attending Virginia State University and support for the OCDC Raise the Roof Initiatives of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church. Under the leadership of Kappa leader Clarence Nelson, the gala featured the music of the Good Life Band and a Champagne Toast and Breakfast Buffet to ring in the New Year. A New Year’s Day Family Prayer Brunch was held later that first day of 2016. Kappa men, their wives and guests from near and far attended the festive event, along with a number of area supporters and friends.
