On November 11, 2016, The New Chesapeake Men for Progress Education Foundation, Inc. is sponsoring a Black-Tie Scholarship Banquet and Dance to honor the “Life-Time Achievements” of Dr. William E. Ward. The Black Tie Scholarship Gala will be held at the Chesapeake Marriott Hotel, 725 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, Virginia and will feature a VIP Reception, Dinner, and dance.
Dr. Ward, former mayor of Chesapeake, Norfolk State University retired professor emeritus, political activist and organizer, and community servant, will be publicly recognized and praised for his achievements by well-wishers and friends who will share some untrue and true stories and heartwarming verbal jabs and visual tributes. The public is invited to share this historic experience of a true “Public Servant” who has given so much to the City of Chesapeake and Hampton Roads.
