Hello and welcome to Tidewater Bridge Unit (TBU).
Tidewater Bridge Unit is committed to providing the best qualified directors for its members. The latest director training was held right here in Tidewater recently and the instructor was the American Bridge Association’s (ABA) National President, Henry (Hank) Irwin. What a treat! The eight ‘directors-in-training’ have all commented, in some form or fashion, on how “confident” and “knowledgeable” they now feel about their directing abilities. Thank you ABA President Hank Irwin for making this training seminar a valuable and enjoyable experience.
If you ever wanted to learn to play bridge and have fun while you are learning, now is the perfect time! New classes are starting soon; be a part of a winning pair! TBU is offering affordable bridge classes at the Berkley Senior Center. Each course is six (6) weeks long and the cost is $30. From 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., there will be instruction (lecture); from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., students will work with practice hands/deals. A minimum of three (3) students is required to run a class. The Play of the Hand and Defense class is in session now. The Basic Bridge class meets on Tuesday mornings at 9:15 a.m. Sign-up sheets are available for our upcoming classes.
