Annual Tonya Bagby Spelling Bee Awards 3

HAMPTON ROADS
The Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., Hampton Roads Chapter and the Top Teens of America, Hampton Roads Chapter co-hosted their Annual Tonya Bagby Spelling Bee on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the First Baptist Church South Hill in Chesapeake.
The Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. is a non-profit, humanitarian, and educational, organization which sponsors the Top Teens of America. The Hampton Roads Chapter was organized in 2004 by Lady Helena Dodson.
The first Spelling Bee was held in 2009 in fulfillment of one of the National organization’s literacy projects. One of the first judges of this event in 2009 was the late Tonya McKie Bagby who is the daughter of Lady Carolyn McKie, Spelling Bee Chair, and Lord Heyward McKie.
