AKA, Iota Omega Chapter Plans Health & Wealth Community Fair

NORFOLK
The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Iota Omega Chapter will host its annual health and wealth community fair on August 10, 2019 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to bring much needed information to the community. This year’s fair will be at Lake Taylor Middle School (1380 Kempsville Rd., Norfolk, VA).
Numerous vendors and presenters will be onsite including: Zumba, Line Dancing and Tabata workouts; Mixxed Fit Instruction by Drop Fitness; Black Nurses Rock; Norfolk Fire and Rescue; Renaissance Counseling; American Heart Association; Susan G. Komen for the Cure; Hands on CPR Training; Blood pressure, cholesterol and body mass index calculations; 3D Mobile Mammograms; and financial presentations including information on 529 College Plans.
This fair is free and open to the public.
Attendees are able to schedule 3D Mobile Mammograms in advance by visiting www.chesapeakemammo.com and scrolling down to Schedule an Appointment, Select August 10, then select Alpha Kappa Alpha-Iota Omega. Most insurance is accepted, but it is very important to visit the website to make your appointment and call them about the insurance accepted.
Also, if you have your films from your last mammogram, it is highly encouraged to bring them with you. Call (757) 312-6400 for direct questions about the process and insurance. If you do not have insurance, they have ways to help.
