November 2: Famous Formers Girls Scouts Luncheon

The Girls Scouts of the Colonial Coast will host its Famous Formers Luncheon on Thursday, November 2, 2017, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Hilton Norfolk The Main, 100 Main Street, Norfolk. This event will recognize local women who were former Girl Scouts and now as adult leaders in various career field, serve as role models for girls today.
Among the 2017 honorees are Cecelia Tucker, Director of Community Relations, Old Dominion University. Other Famous Formers 2017 Honorees are Anne Conner, President Public Finance and Community Investment TowneBank; Betty Wade Coyle, Retired Child Abuse Prevention Advocate; Carol Curtis, Founder, President & CEO Noah Enterprises; Katherine Glass, Clerk of Council City of Hampton; Nicole Stuart, President Top Guard Security; Nancy Welch, MD, Public Health Director, Chesapeake Health Department.
The keynote speaker is the CEO of Girls Scouts USA Sylvia Acevedo. A lifelong Girl Scout and business leader, Acevedo is a technology executive who has held positions with some of the world’s most respected companies. She assumed her role as the National CEO this year after one year as Interim CEO.
