November 18: Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. To Sponsor Annual Tonya Bagby Spelling Bee
HAMPTON ROADS
The Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., Hampton Roads Chapter, will be sponsoring the Annual Tonya Bagby Spelling Bee on Saturday, November 18, 2017. It will be held at the First Baptist South Hill Church, 3633 Galberry Rd. in Chesapeake, Va. at 11 a.m. This activity is co-sponsored by the Top Teens of America, Hampton Roads Chapter.
Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. was chartered in the state of Texas on September 8, 1964, as a non-profit, educational, humanitarian organization. The group focuses on five major thrusts: Top Teens of America; Status of Women; Status of Senior Citizens; Community Partnership; and Community Beautification.
The Top Ladies support the major thrusts geared towards their mission to enhance and enrich the lives of youth and adults through community based programs and projects. Success is measured by the improved quality of life experienced by the people served.
The Spelling Bee is in its ninth year and focuses on helping today’s teens to improve their spelling which is a vital part of the education process. Registration for the Spelling Bee may be completed by providing the following: name, age, email address, and telephone number to Spelling Bee Chair, Lady Carolyn McKie at cookie66@cox.net. All participants must be teenagers.
The Hampton Roads Chapter of TLOD was organized in 2004 by Lady Helena Dodson and Lady LaValette Boney.
