Inspirational Message: Trusting God During Trials and Tribulations

This Psalm of Asaph was written to give us confidence in a time of crisis, or times of difficulty. We may feel helpless and depressed because special events are so overwhelmingly beyond our control! God is everywhere and sees everything. He continues to bless the just and the unjust, those who ask for His help and also those who never honor Him!
God is holy and He is great. Asaph was filled with awe and adoration regarding the perfection, majesty and power of God. It may be good for us to remember the greatness of God who can create a universe and also us as His children who glorify Him!
As believing Christians, we can reflect on God’s amazing deeds and the miracles of Jesus. How does the Bible explain miracles? The events are a record of eyewitness accounts given by honest and sincere men and women who experienced the evidence of miracles. Psalms 77:14 tells us that God performs miracles and display his power among us. Today we are rescued from extreme legal matters, death from tropical storms, illnesses with little or no cure, financial disasters, miraculous human relationships and many stranger events where none other than God has been or is still in full control!
Asaph profoundly made an observation about the deeds of God. According to Asaph, His works are not just great, they are redemptive (Psalms 77:15). The miracle of the resurrection, a supernatural event that made it possible for us to be saved from sin and death. How do we know that God gives us victory from self-destruction? Can we save ourselves? God paid the price for our redemption. His footsteps are often unseen. He brought us back from sin and death threatening activities and restored us to a life with Him! Are we responding to God’s redemptive call? Are we just quietly sitting and waiting without calling on God? God tells us through Jeremiah 33:3 to call on Him and He will answer and show us great and mighty things that we do not know about! We trust God to continue doing abundantly more than we ask of Him. Let us not forget God is always standing by supporting and making all miracles possible for us. We can ask God to help us see past the pains, problems and impossibilities occurring in our lives. In Psalms 77, God shows us His complete control over human activities and nature. Read at the end how waters saw God and trembled in fear before His might. Imagine the fear of the Israelites when they reached the edge of the sea. Their situation seemed hopeless. They were afraid of the waters, but the waters were afraid of God! Let us trust Him who controls our entire world.
