New Brown Hall At Norfolk State University

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new G.W.C. Brown Memorial Hall on Friday, August 18. The three-stir building has 154,000 square feet for classrooms and offices. It will house the following schools and departments: Math, Mass Communications and Journalism, Business, Liberal Arts (Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, History and Interdisciplinary Studies), Social Work, Honors College, and Title III. The building also will house office suites for the above mentioned departments and schools, as well as a variety of flexible classrooms, distance learning classrooms, computer labs, observation classrooms, meeting rooms, study areas, student lounges, audio and video editing suites, TV studio, multipurpose Black box theater, and a theater that seats 550.
