African Arrival Day At Fort Monroe

HAMPTON
Guests invited by the 2019 Commemoration Steering Committee, American Evolution, to Ft. Monroe on Aug. 20 for a ceremony to remember the arrival of the first 20 Africans to America enjoyed a pre-ceremony brunch at the Commanding General’s Residence. They then walked outside where speakers gave meaning to the occasion.
