Ches/VB Links Donate To NSU Theater Company

NORFOLK—The Chesapeake/Virginia Beach Chapter of Links Inc. made two donations to support the Norfolk State University Theatre Company as part of the group’s Holiday Fundraiser on Nov. 17 at the Half Moone Cruise Center in Norfolk. Professor Anthony Stockard, who heads the NSU Theatre and Drama Department, received the presentations from CVB President Katherine Everette and Aurelia T. Williams
The event, “A Tribute to Motown”, was highlighted by performances from NSU students in the company who performed hits from several of Motown’s favorite artists.
The event included dancing, raffles, and substantial hors d’oeuvres.
Serving as Mistress of Ceremonies was Wanda Brockington. Other CVB Links on the program were Jacquelin Kee, Marjorie Arrington and Patricia Caldwell-Smith.
The CVB Chapter of the Links, Incorporated was chartered in 1976 and has a membership that includes business owners, corporate executives, healthcare professionals, teachers, social workers, civic leaders, and IT professionals.
