Young Business Entrepreneurs Give Back

HAMPTON ROADS
On August 31, 2019, the art business Teezie Designs hosted their first annual “Back 2 School Drive” in the South Norfolk area.
The purpose of the drive was to give back to the community and make sure that youth in the Hampton Roads area were prepared for a successful academic school year. Sponsors that contributed with the drive included The Belue Print, Big Fella Brand, ODU’s Pain To Purpose Sick-cell organization, ODU’s Nu Theta Alphas, The Queen’s Arena, and Jetski.ke.
Teonna Thompson, 24, of Chesapeake, Virginia is the business owner of Teezie Designs. In addition, Teezie Designs is an art business that was developed in 2018. Teezie Designs consists of customized paintings, graduate cap designs, and paint night parties. The mission of Teezie Designs is to help fund and establish a non-profit mentoring program for at-promise youth in the Hampton Roads area.
While this is a long-term goal that requires strategic planning, Teezie Designs would like to accomplish many short-term goals such as, “Back 2 School Drives,” “Thanksgiving Food Drives,” and Christmas “Toy Drives” for children who are less fortunate. To accomplish these goals, all proceeds from Teezie Designs go towards at-promise youth in the Hampton Roads area.
To make a monetary donation, purchase a painting, place a customize order, or book a paint night party, visit teeziedesigns.org or contact Teonna Thompson at teeziedesigns@gmail.com or by telephone at (757) 585-3500.
