HAMPTON ROADS
NFL player of the Jacksonville Jaguars Don Carey will host Inaugural STEAM and Football Camp for 300 boys and girls ages 6-17 at Norfolk State University on Saturday, June 16th. Free Camp Registration begins on May 1st.
The students will spend half of the day with 15-20 vendors in the STEM sector participating at interactive vendor stations.
The second half will be spent on the field with Carey teaching football drills with other NFL players. When Carey was a junior at Norfolk State University he had an internship making $65,000 working in the STEM field. It is his mission to reach as many youth possible and teach them about careers in STEM.
