Historic Unveiling

NORFOLK
City officials, including Mayor Kenny Alexander and Councilwoman Angelia Graves, Father Harold Cobb, Rector, Grace Episcopal Church, and representatives of the Norfolk Historical Society, New Journal and Guide and the Young Family were on hand for the unveiling of the new P.B. Young, Sr. historical marker. The City of Norfolk hosted the ceremony and reception December 13 at the Vivian Mason Cultural Center near the marker site on Church Street near Olney. Remarks were delivered by Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander; Peggy Haile McPhillips, President, Norfolk Historical Society; Dr. Colita Fairfax, Member, Virginia Board of Historic Resources; Sheryl Young, Member of the Young Family; and Brenda H. Andrews, Publisher and Current Owner of the New Journal and Guide.
