In the Community: American Legion Auxiliary Unit 37

It was cold and rainy on Saturday December 9, 2017 for the ‘Breakfast Tea’ hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 37, located 393-D East Princess Anne RD Norfolk.” It was the first fund raiser the Auxiliary has had since moving to this location earlier this year” stated Ms. Helen Lynum, Unit 37 Auxiliary President. The event times were from 9 a.m. – noon, which included many contributors who volunteered their time to the success of the program. The [MC] known affectionately as Minister George introduced a variety participants who read favorite scriptures, sang, recited poems, banking principles, burial plans and had venders.
Everyone was delighted with the breakfast menu; several went back for a second helping too. At a low donation of $20.00 the event was a huge success despite bad weather conditions. Plans are being discuss about future fund raisers. Someone stated “when you do good things for the community good things happen.”
