2 Chesapeake Women Announce Candidacies At Fundraiser

Chesapeake City Councilwoman Dr. Ella Ward announced on Sunday, December 10 that she is seeking re-election to the council. Dr. Ward was joined by Dr. Pat King, a Chesapeake psychiatrist, who announced she will seek a first term as a member of the Chesapeake School Board.
Chesapeake residents Willie and Paulette Brown served as hosts at their home for the fundraiser kickoff. Several area residents, friends and politicians gathered to enjoy an afternoon of politicking, good food and fellowship.
Among guests were 3rd Congressional District Congressman Bobby Scott, Portsmouth City Councilwoman Lisa Lucas-Burke, Portsmouth Commonwealth Attorney Stephanie Morales, who recently won re-election and incoming Portsmouth Treasurer Paige Cherry, who will be sworn into office this month.
