Inspirational Message: Can We Paint A Portrait of Jesus Christ?

There were no photographers in Jesus’ lifetime. How can we paint a portrait of an unseen face and body? How much do we know about His physical features? Let us look at part of Daniel’s dream (Daniel 7:9). White clothing, hair on the head was white like wool, His throne was flaming with fire and its wheels were all ablaze!
Again let us look at John’s vision of Christ in Revelation 1. John heard a voice speaking to him, saw seven lampstands and also saw someone like a son of man dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet with a golden sash around his chest. Beginning with verse 14 we can paint His hair white, make it look like wool and as white as snow.
What about His eyes? John said His eyes were like blazing fire! His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace and His voice was like the sound of rushing waters. The rest of chapter 1 gives more details. Read on to see His face, stars in His right hand with a sharp double edged sword in His mouth. Jesus spoke after John fell at His feet. Our God is awesome as He allows us to learn from this vision which clearly explains the physical features of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
How do we seek and reach Him now? Through prayer we have access to Him at any moment. Surprisingly, He knows what we need before we ask (Matthew 6:8). The Lord is near to all who call on Him (Psalm 145:18). Prayer is the voice of faith trusting that God knows and cares for us!
