Golf Tourney Benefits NSU Tennis program
VIRGINIA BEACH
Several golf teams showed up on June 5 at the Honeybee Golf Course in Virginia Beach for the Spartan Tennis Golf Tournament to support the university’s tennis program.
The event was spearheaded by Nat Warren, a retired NSU tennis coach who is working to benefit the program which competes in the MEAC conference. D. Worth Richardson serves as the tennis director.
The Championship Flight was won by the following:
1st Place: Parris Carson, Will Sharp, Giena Gwant, Melvin Upton
2nd Place: Larry Logan, Calvin Barnes, Raymond Barnes, Ron Mitchell
3rd Place: Bob Ferguson, Raymond Foreman, Willie Maull.
Winning teams also were named in the lst, 2nd and 3rd Flights.
