What’s Gone Wrong In America
Submitted by Dr. Vivian Anderson
According to the latest FOX NEWS polls, (other polls basically agree). “Fully 92 percent of Americans say they believe in YAWUWAH, the Capital GOD.” Only 5 percent say they do not, while the remaining 3 percent are not sure.
This statistic, however, is not as encouraging as it sounds. When asked what respondents mean by “GOD,” very few believed in – much less knew the “YAWUWAH” of the BIBLE. For many, “YAWUWAH,” the Capital GOD, is simply a higher Power. Others believe that Allah or Budda is GOD.
The very thought of a “Power” creating anything is ridiculous! Then why is belief in a power so appealing to so many today? Did the Star Wars slogan, “May the Force be with you” have that much influence among the younger generation? This has become a popular idea because a power/force can’t impose moral laws, demand obedience, or judge and punish anyone – instead, it can be used for one’s own selfish ends. Clearly, “YAWUWAH,” the Capital GOD, who created us for a purpose holds mankind responsible for Creation’s witness to HIS existence and for obedience to the Moral Law HE has implanted in every conscience.
Our Founding Fathers did not trust anyone with power, not even themselves. They therefore proceeded to construct a government that would limit the use of power. Equally important was their conviction that the WORD of “YAWUWAH,” the Capital GOD, constitutes a higher law to which all men and governments are subject and that the fundamental rights of Mankind are derived from that law and government.
Thus, in the nation’s Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson wrote: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL THAT THEY ARE ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR with certain inalienable rights that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just power from the consent of the governed.”
Today, almost every facet of our society denies their CREATOR and worships the god of evolution. To put it another way, the Founding Fathers of our nation expressly rejected the traditional philosophy of Humanism and its concept that man is basically good and capable of perfection, or even godhood, and that therefore those who are highly educated have a natural right to rule over those less fortunate. They also rejected the radical form of Humanism that came to prevail in the French Revolution and which produced a reign of terror, namely, a belief in the essential goodness of the common man.
What the country has lost today is the philosophical concept undergirding all the actions of our Founding Fathers – the belief that Christian morality was absolutely essential for both the preservation of liberty and the stability of law. They emphasized this crucial point in their writings over and over again.
Samuel Adams(1722-1803) – Governor of Massachusetts, signer of the Declaration of Independence, and organizer of the Boston Tea Party stated. “A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued: but when they lose their virtue they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invaders.”
“Religion and good morals are the only good solid foundation of public: liberty and happiness.”
