The 51st Annual Hampton Jazz Festival

Each year in late June, thousands of music lovers flock to Hampton to attend the Jazz Festival. The weekend long event is more than a series of concerts; it is an event. It is a place for old friends to meet and greet people-watch, take pictures, eat, drink and party.
The line-up for the 51st annual Hampton Jazz Festival was a great one. Friday night featured Kustom Made, Gregory Porter, Jazmine Sullivan and Charlie Wilson.
Saturday’s singers included Lakeside, Avery *Sunshine, Boyz II Men and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. Many of the festivalgoers were dressed in all white as a tribute to Mr. Beverly and his smooth band.
Sunday afternoon’s concert had Con Fun Shun, Lalah Hathaway, Xcape3 and Kenny G playing and singing for delighted crowd.
The weekend attendance was on point and the attendees were excited, happy and very satisfied with the festival performances. This year’s festival will go down in the history books as one to remember.
