HAMPTON ROADS
The 6th Annual Harvey N. Johnson, Jr. Memorial “Swing Into Community Action” Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, August 10, at Cahoon Plantation Golf Course, 1501 Cahoon Parkway, Chesapeake.
Regina P. Lawrence, President and CEO of STOP Inc., stated, “It’s going to be another great tournament this year and we are looking forward to partnering with local businesses and community leaders to help make this a successful event”.
A portion of the tournament proceeds will be utilized to fund youth scholarships which are named to honor the late Harvey N. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. and golfers will play 18 holes of golf. After the golfers play their last hole, an awards lunch will be served. Prizes include the $1 Million Dollar Hole-In- One contest, Longest Drive and Closest To The Pin contests. Prizes will also be awarded to the winning teams. A Silent Auction will take place along with a 50/50 raffle and additional raffles for gifts and door prizes.
