Social and Civic Whirl: Deltas To Host Job Skills Workshop

The Chesapeake/Virginia Beach Foundation, a 501©3 nonprofit tax exempt organization established in 2013, will host a Job Skills Workshop.  This seminar is being sponsored in partnership with Rev. Dr. Sandi Hutchinson and St. Joseph AME Zion Church located at 1540 Atlantic Avenue in Chesapeake.

“TOOLS FOR SUCCESS” is the theme for this FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC workshop for females ages 18 and up seeking employment opportunities.  However, registration is required for this event.  You may register at cvbdfrsvp@gmail.com and write “tools for success” on the subject line or call 548-5988.

The core initiative of the Foundation’s mission is to Educate, Enrich, and Empower the community.  In addition to learning interviewing techniques; how to complete an application; how to prepare/write a resume; and other job search related skills, the ladies will also learn to dress to compliment their other newly acquired skills.  There will be a limited number of complimentary business attire for the attendees.

The seminar is scheduled for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2015 from 9 a.m. until noon with a continental breakfast being served at 8 a.m..
