Sigmas Partnering to Assist Others

NORFOLK
The Norfolk Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and Groomed for Greatness Learning Center in Norfolk, recently partnered to serve families in the Norview section of the city. Mrs. Jan House, Administrator and Ms. Ernecia House, Director of the center, joined the sorority in providing children’s shoes for the “Soles for Little Souls” Project in December. In January, the partners hosted a “ Project Cradle Care” baby shower for several young mothers or soon to be “mommies.” The ladies were provided vital information on pre/post natal care, given a variety of gifts for newborn babies, pampered by the members and formed a bond/support system with each other. Mrs. Maxine Williams is the chapter’s President, Ms. Lisa Wright-Martin is the Program’s Chair and Ms. Chloe’ Jones is the Community Service Chair.
