Scenes From the 2016 Impacting Lives Breakfast

NORFOLK
The New Journal and Guide paid tribute during its 3rd Annual Impacting Lives Breakfast to nine Hampton Roads citizens on October 22 at the Murray Center’s Taste N See Banquet Hall. The occasion marked the observance of the newspaper company’s 116th anniversary. Current owner and publisher Brenda H. Andrews presented medallions and proclamations to eight of the awardees in attendance. Serving as the morning’s M.C. was WAVY-TV-10’s Don Roberts and assisting Andrews in presenting the awards was her son Oronde K. Andrews. Committee Chair Chloe Jones presented Andrews with a beautiful vase of yellow roses from committee members Charlene Christopher, Dr. Gloria Hagans, Brenda Logan, Sarah Peoples Perry, Dr. Melinda Harris-Peoples, and Cecelia Tucker. Rev. Dr. Keith Jones delivered the invocation and music was provided by Mr. Ron Myers
