Rebecca’s Well: Stay Woke

“STAY WOKE” is the new Millennial Cry of Young African-American Activist Groups such as BLACK LIVES MATTER and others. The phrase means DON’T GET SIDETRACKED STAY MINDFUL STAY INFORMED. My generation calls this phrase “STAY WOKE” as BE CONSCIOUS OF WHO YOU ARE AND THE WORLD IN WHICH YOU LIVE.

YOUNG AND OLD ARE SAYING THE SAME THING. STAY FOCUSED STAY CENTERED STAY BALANCED STAY ALERT STAY VIGILANT. LIVE YOUR LIFE WITH PURPOSE KEEP THE FAITH KEEP HOPE ALIVE MARCH PROTEST SING PRAY VOTE. BE PRESENT

We Christians sing “Onward Christian Soldiers, marching as to war with the Cross of Jesus going on before,Christ the Royal Master leads against the foe; Forward into Battle See His Banners Go! Onward Christian SOLDIERS Marching as to war with the Cross of Jesus Going on before.”

The Bible states”Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light …” (Ephesians 5:14-20) “Walk as children of light … (Ephesians 5:8) “Redeeming the times because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:16)

“Awake up my glory; awake, awake psaltry and harp: I myself will awake early; I will praise Thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto Thee among the nations. For Thy Mercy is Great unto the Heavens, and Thy Truth unto the clouds. Be Thou exalted, O God, above the Heavens: Let Thy Glory be above all the earth.” (Psalm 57:8-11)

“Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil …” (Eph 6-11) God’s Hand is writing on America’s Wall. “STAY WOKE AMERICA”! “WOE TO THEM THAT ARE AT EASE IN ZION …” (Amos 6:1) Woe to America at ease in a day of unrighteousness. Here is the Biblical Antidote: “IF MY PEOPLE WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME (JESUS) SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN, AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND.” (II Chronicles 7:14)

“HEAL US, O LORD AND WE SHALL BE HEALED; SAVE US AND WE SHALL BE SAVED: FOR THOU ART OUR PRAISE.” (Jeremiah 17:14) IN JESUS’ NAME WE PRAY. AMEN (Oh, Yes!)
