Rebecca’s Well: PoliticsTrees 2016 Presidential Campaign

dr.rivka
“Ye shall know them by their fruits … Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, Neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
(Matthew 7:16-20)

God at sundry times uses the tree as descriptive of a person’s righteous or unrighteous life. He calls Himself “The Evergreen Tree.”
Jesus says, “If they do this in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?” (Luke 23- 31)

The tree is metaphoric for how one’s life is Jived and for what purpose; whether one lives for self or others; or for truth or folly. God declares we shall know people by not only what they say or don’t say, but also by their actions or lack of action. We are to concern ourselves this November election by not only what Hillary Clinton says, but also what she has done and declares she will do. Likewise, we must pay keen attention to not only the revealed character and life activities of Donald Trump, but also the Neo Conservative Republicans and Tea Party for which he stands.

For in the final analysis, we must vote for the candidate who has our own best interests at heart. As Al Sharpton says, “this election is about your momma!”
Donald Trump asks, “What do African-Americans have to lose by voting for me and the Republican Party”?   The answer is everything we have now by the Democratic Party:

(1) Affirmative Action. Social Security. Supplemental Security Income(SSI). Medicare. Medicaid. Pell Grants. Food Stamps. Obamacare. Housing Act. Veterans Job Act. Dream Act for immigrant children. Ledbetter Act for women equal pay for equal work. Public education at all levels. Innovations for clean energy. Job training and building blocks for the middle class and the working poor lower class. Right on back to The Emancipation Proclamation for African-Americans and a New Slave Trade for Hispanics. Finally the demise of the U.S. Constitution.
(2)  Republicans have in place Anti-Early Voting Days. Early Voting Days put President Obama in the White house. If African-Americans had waited until the day of voting, we would not have had the First African-American President.
