NSU Golf Tournament To Benefit Spartans Football Team
NORFOLK
The 10th Annual Spartan Football Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015. This year’s event will be played at the Greenbrier Country Club, 1301 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
Registration and the driving range begin at 7:30 a.m. and there’s a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The tournament fee includes 18 holes of golf, shared golf cart, range balls, goody bag and lunch. The format is Best Ball Scramble (USGA Rules).
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the NSU Football program which is a member team of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). The team is headed by Coach Latrell Scott, who was named the 17th head coach on December 16, 21014.
Scott served last as head coach at Virginia State University for two years, and he was head coach at the University of Richmond in 2010.
NSU opens its 2015 season on September 5 at Rutgers, followed by Old Dominion on September 12. Homecoming is November 7 with Savannah State.
