Nov. 6: EmpoweringHER Brunch to host financial literacy women’s brunch
will host the second brunch on Sunday, Nov. 6 of its three-part series on the topic of finance. The brunch, which was a highly anticipated, sold out event in August on the topic of branding, will take place at the Courtyard by Marriot in downtown Norfolk at 12:30 p.m. The brunch will feature three powerhouse panelists including Tearanie Parker of Funding an Empire, a radio segment that broadcasts weekly on 88.1 FM and iHeartRadio; Kezia Hendricks of InkGroup Financial Coaching and Smart Money Kids University; and Toni Brockman of Rich Girl Consulting.
From small business to personal finances to savings and retirement, this brunch will help attendees become financially fit for the new year. “This forum is going to be outstanding,” said Sharon Smith, financial advisor at World Financial Group.” Anytime someone can share how to become financially free, you should show up with notebook in hand ready to absorb all the information. Especially, in the company of women sharing, knowledge and a great meal. It sounds like awesomeness,” she continued. “I’m excited.”
EmpoweringHER was organized by two Black, women-owned companies including Secoya Holmes of Bliss Event Planning & Consulting and Keisha Reynolds of K&R Communications. Its mission is to host impactful, affordable brunches for the entrepreneur, stay-at-home mom, career woman, blogger and more. “Our goal is to bridge the gap and build a tremendous sisterhood with like-minded individuals throughout Hampton Roads,” said Keisha Reynolds, co-organizer. Tickets for the brunch are available at EmpoweringHERbrunch.com. For more information, please contact info@empoweringherbrunch.com or (757) 785.4903.
