NORFOLK
Churches and members of their congregations came together in Norfolk on May 31 for the city’s March For Jesus. The celebratory event, observed in cities around the world, began in 1987 in London and is a procession of praise through the streets of the city, celebrating the Lordship of Jesus Christ and culminating in a grand worship. Fifty million people around the world have participated since its founding.
Locally, Bishop Cleveland Brown is the founder and Chairman of the March Committee comprised of a number of area pastors.
Worshippers assembled at Ruffner Middle School in Norfolk and marched from there to Norfolk City Hall to unite in prayer and celebration of Jesus’ teachings of values, love, and forgiveness.
