May 1: I. Sherman Greene Chorale In Annual Spring Concert

The I. Sherman Greene Chorale, Inc. will perform its annual Spring Concert at Kempsville Presbyterian Church on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 4 p.m. Performing with the Chorale will be guest artists Beverly Baker, principal violist with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Dr. Marsha Staples, interpretive dancer and Walter Walker, percussionist. Also featured with the Chorale are singers representing church choirs from the Hampton Roads area including Kempsville Presbyterian Church. During the concert, the Chorale will perform Requiem excerpts by Johannes Brahms and John Rutter as a memorial tribute to former I. Sherman Greene Chorale and Board members.

A 501©3 non-profit organization, the I. Sherman Greene Chorale, Inc. was founded in 1972 and incorporated in 1982. Its mission is to promote Mr. I. Sherman Greene’s legacy through choral performances of time-tested and contemporary music. The Chorale’s goal for the future is to enlighten, energize and inspire our audiences.
