It’s Graduation Time!

NORFOLK
Norfolk State University held its Spring Commencement on Saturday May 4, ahead of other area colleges and universities. Several hundred students received their send-off after four grueling years by keynote speaker Yamiche Alcindor, White House correspondent for PBS NewsHour and a political contributor for NBC News and MSNBC. No doubt, the student’s hat (shown) conveys the sentiments of many in attendance.

Fifty years ago, these NSU alumni were among those receiving coveted degrees from dear old Norfolk State. They returned on Saturday, donned in gold with green, to welcome into the university fold the Class of 2019.
