Inspirational Message: Living as God’s New Creations

By God’s grace we can see victory in a fallen world and trust Him through faith and obedience. We often face battles and defeats, but victory in Christ can be ours as we learn to trust in His power. 1 John 5:4 tells us that, “Everyone born of God overcomes the world.” The apostle Paul advises us clearly to pursue love (1 Corinthians 14:1) as an essential activity of God himself. When we love others, we are doing our Christian duty and God is pleased with such good behavior.

To begin living as a new creature in Christ and following the way of love, plan a life of sacrifice. Why not create plans to show children the same patience God shows us? How can we show kindness to people in need? How can I rejoice with others when they are progressing? When trying to love others, turn to God as the source of love and to Jesus who is the greatest example of love. With much effort and time to gain a deeper knowledge of true love, we can find strength to love others like God loves us! John also tells us that “Love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God” (1 John 4:7). God is love and we are encouraged to love each other as we try to be like Him.

It is a great privilege to serve God in many meaningful ways. Serving others shows our love for God who never leaves us. In the darkest or brightest moments of our lives, the assurance of His presence gives us confidence of constant support for us as new creations of faith. Look to God as our helper, resist Satan’s suggestions of doubt and do not fear when good deeds are accomplished! The reality of His support will fill our hearts and minds with confidence and courage. It may be worthwhile to ask God to let us interact with love and respect in all our relationships. Let us learn to pray that others will see our efforts in a godly manner as we strive to be fair with everyone.

With steadfast minds we continue to fellowship with other followers of Jesus Christ to help us stay anchored in Him. Connecting with the Lord regularly enables us to be faithful to avoid losing our will power. In Ephesians 2, Paul reminded Christians of the remarkable way God had improved their lives and later mentioned that by grace we are saved. We are created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared to be our way of life. In an ever changing world, God has called and empowered us to follow a new pattern of life that reaches out to others and that also honors and glorifies Him!

Still, life as a new creation may not be easy to accomplish. It can take time to drop old habits, but with the Holy Spirit working with us, giving us daily inner strength, and a better view of God’s love, new creations will evolve and leave the past behind. Let us continue to do good works by helping, loving unconditionally, giving and serving to build a permanent new life style. For these reasons, God gives us new life of hope in Christ!
