Inspirational Message: Jesus Christ Is Our Redeemer

Jesus Christ is the perfect offering for our sins. This is a sacrifice once for all sins. Who other than Jesus Christ can take away our guilt! In the book of Hebrews we read that Jesus shed His blood for the redemption of all humanity. Through His own blood, Jesus Christ obtained eternal Life for all who believe.
Through his death, our Lord redeems us. His was the perfect and final sacrifice for our sins. Unlike the ancient priests of the Old Testament who had to make animal sacrifices time and time again for their sins. Christ offered one sacrifice once for all! By all means the sacrifice of Jesus Christ was superior to all animal sacrifices. Jesus Christ can cleanse us on the inside and transform our lives in all circumstances. Even our damaged spirits can be restored so that we can accomplish His will for us. All lives matter to Him.

Can we imagine a sacrifice once for all? Repetitive offering of animal sacrifices were required under the old covenant. The priests never finished their work which helped no one. Jesus finished His work and can now sit at the right hand of God which glorifies His exalted position. God demands holiness from us and this has been satisfied by the death of Jesus on the cross! We as believers realize that we need restoration by God who forgives our sins.

We sometimes struggle to remain committed, especially when we simply forget to seek answers in God’s word. The author of Hebrews challenges us as believers to find encouragement and strength in the examples of champions of the faith in Jesus Christ. He endured suffering in the midst of hatred and humiliation. How does God prepare us to run the race of faith? As Christians, what activities make us stronger? Our daily training may include prayer, Bible study and self examinations of habits that can impede progress.

With Jesus Christ as our redeemer, we may give hope to prisoners, homeless people, the sick and shut-ins, feeding, clothing others in need and spend more time in worship. It may be helpful to confess our sins and continue to seek God’s forgiveness as we look to Jesus, as a super model of faith. He is the one who obeyed God perfectly. Jesus looked beyond the cross to the greater joy that awaits all believers. Instead of focusing on our earthly discomforts, Jesus kept his eyes on spiritual rewards. The writer of Hebrews reminds us not to let difficult times cause us to lose faith in God through Jesus Christ. How can we submit to God? We obey Him and continue making efforts not to give in to defeat and fear, but let us stand firm and confident in Jesus Christ who makes life worthwhile when we seek His help as our redeemer!
