Exemplar Awards Recognize Community Volunteers

Hampton Roads

The monthly Hampton Roads Gazeti newspaper hosted its  2012 Exemplar Awards Ceremony/Reception on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Royal Courtyard in Virginia Beach. A number of community service organizations were recognized for their contributions in what may have been largest-ever gathering of South Hampton Roads community organizations. Guest presenter Dr. Kirk T. Houston, Sr., the founder and senior pastor of Gethsemane Community Fellowship Baptist Church, and Mistress of Ceremonies Barbara Hamm-Lee of WHRO-TV kept the program lively. Hampton Roads Gazeti Publisher Loretta Davis Kahn introduced local monthly community service networking.
