The event times were from 9 a.m. – noon, which included many contributors who volunteered their time to the success of the program. The [MC] known affectionately as Minister George introduced a variety participants who read favorite scriptures, sang, recited poems, banking principles, burial plans and had venders.
Everyone was delighted with the breakfast menu; several went back for a second helping too. At a low donation of $20.00 the event was a huge success despite bad weather conditions. Plans are being discuss about future fund raisers. Someone stated “when you do good things for the community good things happen.”
