Church threatens to revoke woman’s membership for lack of financial support
Pay up or get out!
That was the message one woman received from a pretty harsh letter sent to her by a Florida Church.
According to a letter posted on Facebook by one of the woman’s friends, the church member was behind in financial support.
The letter from Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church tells the woman in the first line that she’s a valued member of the congregation, but then goes on to threaten to kick her out if she does not pay the minimum assessed amount.
To avoid being “removed from the church roll” the member is asked to pay a minimum of $50 a month, but the church also includes other expenses in the letter.
Do you think this is ethical?
Have you experienced something like this before?
