Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office Joins Fight Against Breast Cancer In Its ‘3rd Annual Pull For Pink’

CHESAPEAKE
On Saturday, September 30 volunteers representing Sheriff Jim O’Sullivan and the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office joined in the fight against breast cancer at the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office “3rd Annual Pull for Pink” fire truck pull.
This friendly competition and popular fundraiser was held at the Wild Wing Café in Greenbrier from noon until 4 p.m. and pitted teams showing their strength in the name of community service.
In addition to the traditional fire truck pull, there was a kiddie pull for the kids, corn hole toss, games, and a silent auction. The auction included a Skydive Suffolk Tandem Jump, a one night stay in a family suite at Great Wolf Lodge, Adventure Zipline tickets, and much more.
The teams paid up to $200 per team or $25 per person to compete. All proceeds will support The Bra-ha-ha, presented by the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation. The annual event helps fight breast cancer – and provides breast health services to eligible, uninsured and underinsured members of the Hampton Roads community.
