Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office Holds “9th Annual Youth Football Camp”

CHESAPEAKE
200 Chesapeake children “learned football skills inside the lines and life skills outside the lines” at the 9th Annual Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office Youth Football Camp. The free three-day camp was held at James L. Frye Stadium at Indian River High School on June 28th – 30th, 2018.
Children ages 10-14 spent the time learning defensive and offensive skills from Chesapeake middle and high school football coaches. NFL player and NSU graduate Don Carey came by to speak to the children about the importance of staying in school, working hard, and what it takes to make it to the NFL.
The Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office holds this camp every summer at no cost to the campers.
