Beach Omegas To Host Stop The Violence Breakfast

Gamma Xi Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc will host its fourth annual Stop the Violence Breakfast on Saturday, January 27, 2018, 8-11a.m. at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach-Norfolk Hotel and Conference Center, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. The theme for this year’s event is “A Look At Domestic Violence Thru Different Lenses.”
The breakfast will feature presentations and a panel discussion by a variety of persons who are a part of this important aspect of our lives that affect our community. Participants will include domestic violence survivors – female and male – a forensic medical/ER nurse, a 911 operator and police investigator, as well military reps to address programs in the services.
Gamma Xi’s goal is to help raise awareness of domestic violence, highlighting the shared responsibilities we all have as a community to reduce occurrences, and to support those who are victims. Tickets are $30 and proceeds will benefit this program and others supported by the Gamma Xi Uplift Foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity.
The foundation’s mission is to provide service, mentorship and leadership that uplifts the greater Hampton Roads community. There are sponsorship and patron opportunities available for this event.
