August 20: Symphony at Town Point Park Features Virginia Symphony

NORFOLK
Norfolk Festevents, and the Patricia and Douglas Perry Foundation will present the Virginia Symphony Orchestra at the Symphony in the Park event in Town Point Park from 6-10 p.m. on August 20, 2017.
In honor of the Norfolk Naval Station Centennial celebration, the entire performance is titled, “Salute to America.” The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is honoring the men and women of the Navy and its inspiring history in our region. Guests can expect to hear pieces like God Bless America, Victory at Sea and the Armed Forces Salute that will inspire patriotism and gratitude for our sailors who brave the world’s seas in service to our great country.
Benjamin Rous, Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s resident conductor, will be on the podium for this performance.
Town Point Park is along the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront. This event is free and open to the public
In the event of inclement weather the event will move to Half Moone Cruise Terminal, 1 Waterside Dr. Norfolk, VA 23510.
