Annual Queen’s Pageant Held At New Hope Center

On Saturday, February 18, 2017, District Council #6, Order of Eastern Star of VA-Prince Hall Affiliation held its Annual Queen’s Pageant at The New Hope Center in Chesapeake, VA. Under the Presidency of Marilyn Hill, District Council #6 promotes fellowship and togetherness as it strives to render service to the Tidewater community and all mankind. This year’s focus is scholarship.
Linda J. Jones of Brighton Light #118 was crowned District Council #6 Queen. Other contestants were Barbara Ellis (Martha #10), Cynthia Hinton (Mt. Hermon #19), Elaine Holiman (Venus #42) and Faye Hampton (Truxton #63). Jacqueline Horton (Brighton Light #118) served as the Mistress of Ceremony.
The Honorable Paige D. Cherry, #3 is the Most Worshipful Grand Master, Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of VA- Free and Accepted Masons, Inc.
Other officers are Alicia M.Boykins- Grand District Deputy Organizer, Ivery B. Knight-Grand Worthy Matron, Clarence E. Williams- Grand Worthy Patron, and Synthia D. Martin- Grand Secretary.
