Portsmouth’s Annual King Breakfast At Edmonds Center
PORTSMOUTH
The Church and Community In Action organization will hold its Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast on January 16th at the Edmonds Center. Seating starts at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast beginning promptly at 8 a.m.
Rev. Dr. Melvin O. Marriner, Pastor of Grove Baptist Church of Portsmouth, is the Keynote Speaker. Several local persons will be honored as part of the program. They are Political: Honorable Paige D. Cherry; Education: Honorable Costella B. Williams; Community: Fire Chief Horton; and Faith Community: Rev. D.A. Peace.
Pastor Milton R. Blount is President. Contact 399-7374 X 10 or E. Breathwaite at 393-8618 for tickets. Donations will be used for scholarships and community service projects.
