The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Virginia Free & Accepted Masons, Inc. held their 140th Grand Lodge Session at the Hampton Roads Convention Center from September 17th – 19th. Led by Most Worshipful Grand Master Roger C. Brown of Richmond, the purpose of the session was to communicate updates to the membership, make scholarship presentations to students, and elect officers of the body.
The event was proud to receive over 120 lodges around the state where over 500 brothers were in attendance. While 51 college bound students received scholarships valued at $700 each, Past Grand Master Larry D. Christian’s program that supports continuing college students awarded 62 scholarships valued at $300 each.
Grand Master Brown was then re-elected for a second one year term, along with his Line Officers. New to the Grand Lodge Board of Directors included Brother Julius Spain of Arlington, Virginia and re-elected Past Grand Master Herman Eggleston of Keysville, Virginia.
The event concluded with a ceremonial installation of officers conducted by Senior Past Grand Master Robert E. Harris, Sr. of Smithfield, Virginia.
