Smooth jazz singer Will Downing, TS Monk, Joe, and New Edition were among the 40 artists who appeared at the Richmond Jazz Festival this past weekend (Aug 8-9) at Maymont Park. Residents from across the region descended on the spacious park with lawn chairs on a hot summer weekend to enjoy various musical artists who performed on 3 stages set up around the park.
Food vendors, clothing merchants, artist meet and greet tents, and a variety of arts and crafts were available for festival attendees to enjoy.
Will Downing spoke to the New Journal and Guide backstage and posed for an exclusive photo for our readers before his set.
