August 6-9: Berkley’s 21st Annual Reunion
NORFOLK
Blue skies and tolerable summer temperatures made for a great weekend for the hundreds of present and past residents and friends of the Berkley community who showed up for the 21st annual Berkley Reunion on Aug. 6-9. The free community event held at the Berkley Park brought home some of the area’s old neighbors from New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and elsewhere.
The three-day reunion featured something for everyone and every age group, including live music entertainment, a community recognition program, voter registration booth, sign ups for the October 10th Million Man March in Washington, D.C., and of course, lots and lots of good home-cooked foods and food vendors. Sunday worship services were held at First Baptist Berkley.
