Inspirational Message: Andrew Seized Hopefulness For Jesus Christ!

Andrew was one of the first disciples called in the Gospels to be a follower of Jesus. According to the Gospel of John, Andrew rushed to inform his brother Simon that the Messiah, the Christ, had been found! Immediately the GOOD NEWS was known. Andrew had earlier been one of John the Baptist’s disciples. It was made known to Andrew that this was Jesus the Savior. By John the Baptist, Andrew already knew discipleship duties.

Later, when Jesus invited Andrew to become a fisher of men, he quickly dropped his nets and followed the Savior. So many times we may not feel adequate in our efforts to tell others about Jesus and His love. Is there a best way to do it? What are good methods to broadcast the message that Andrew spoke so simply? Perhaps, Andrew had special God-given talents for impressing the followers of Jesus Christ. We can only imagine what Andrew learned from John the Baptist!

By meeting Jesus Christ, Andrew experienced a profound impact when he realized this was definitely his true mentor. Do we need more Andrews in our world today? Do we need more people who can give us just a little encouragement? In John 6 when Jesus fed the multitude with five small barley loaves and two small fish, it was Andrew who had a positive outlook and pointed out the boy with the small lunch pack. Here we learn that Jesus can multiply our supplies to meet our needs! Using his gift of hopefulness, Andrew had faith that Jesus undoubtedly can solve any problems for any of us at any time.

Let us learn from Andrew’s life and be inspired by his experiences. Scriptures have been recorded to help us grow in faith. Like Andrew, all of us can bring others to Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. Andrew seized positive opportunities of life to serve Jesus Christ and his fellowman with feelings of hopefulness. We can assume that Andrew knew that Jesus Christ was a source of blessings to others. We can check the Gospels for more glimpses of Andrew, the disciple who found the Lord and followed Him!
